Another church. This is the interior of St Anna's church in the Lehel district of Munich. I was struck by the light falling on the figure from a window out of view in this image creating the sharp contrasts and layers of shadow.

The sculptures and stained glass window are beautiful, but I have to say that the artistry of your photo in this instance easily matches or even outshines them! This is gorgeous.
Thanks all. I've always liked this one. Again it was mostly luck - when I passed the church the light from the window (out of picture) was falling perfectly on the statue to the left.
The only bit that sometimes annoys me is that I managed to cut off the bottom of the plinth the lower statue is standing on. I have gone back since to see if I could retake it and included the whole of it but I've never found the same light again.
Very nice light and shadow...
I love this contrast feeling.
