Continuing the U-Bahn theme, this image was also taken at OEZ but this time on the U3 side. Here the cool silver theme of the steel panels and mirrors changes. There is still plenty of steel but these vibrant blues and oranges give this side of the station a different feel.

U1 - OEZ

This is the first in a series of images freom the Munich U-Bahn system. 'Olympia-Einkaufszentrum' is the end of the line for both the U1 and U3 lines. This image is of the U1 terminus.

The station is relatively new with the U1 version opened in 2004 and the U3 version in 2007. While the earlier stations tend towards the functional and utilitarian, these later stations are much more interesting architecturally.

The U-Bahn, together with the S-Bahn, trams and buses provide Munich with a conprehensive, efficient, integrated and safe public transport sytem.
