Marienplatz U
A recent outing of our expat photogrpahy group produced another fifty pictures from the Munich U-Bahn. you have been warned! Mostly we were revisiting stations that have already featured here, but today's image is from a new station. Marienplatz is the city's central square; beneath it lies Marienplatz station where both U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains run. This striking entranceway is on the U-Bahn level.07 August 2009

Deutsche Telekom's pink telephones are ubiquitous in Munich - and in Germany. This one was in the Oberwiesenfeld U-Bahn station. The abandoned newspaper and the pink and silver of the installation against the red wall of the station caught my eye. This was a low light shot which was then given a pseudo-HDR treatment.Technically it's not a great shot but I liked it.
