I'm not normally a fan of flower shots - especially my own - but I made an exception for this one. I have no idea what kind of plants these are; I saw a bed of them in a garden in the Riem park.

I'll leave the id of these to the more botanically inclined though I have my suspicions. The shot is really wonderful, Olli. I'm glad you made an exception and posted it.

And I feel to be able to see colore of gold. Why?
Thanks all. I shot this at the end of my walk around the Riem district - more to play with DoF than anything else.
The dominant purples here against the hinted green background works very well as well as the DOF you chose. That really give the image some 3d pop to it.
