The flood plains of the River Isar near Thalkirchen are a popular spot for relaxing. The surface isn't exactly inviting, consisting mostly of stones and gravel, but that doesn't stop musicians, sunbathers, barbequers (if that's a word) and others like this couple.
Much of the river further north of here towards the city centre is currently being redeveloped as part of the Isar plan, a long term project to enhance the river's environment.
Thanks. This is by the River Isar. The closest we have to the sea here in Munich are the lakes to our south. The real sea is a few hundred miles away. We have to find our beaches where we can.

I love that you give us no sea in the context, only the rocky beach. Well composed, indeed.
